A muze, some might say1. My own name is orginally Greek, and it was in Greece that my 26 year endometriosis odyssee came to it’s end.
I am of golden age. I write, I sing, I ponder. I rant, I steam, grit my teeth, I yearn . I have passion; injustice, mistreatment, malicious stupidity, innovation, connection put my heart in overdrive. I am quirky, funny, obsessed and miss an off switch (auDhD).
Some will say a witch, some a bitch. Understand me or do not. I am here to make your journey a smoother sail. To take your toes out of the mire of Groundhog Day. To seperate fact from fiction, hypothesis, prejudice. To fight for care we deserve. I do not accept or bow my head to shitty standards, belitteling and gaslighting.
If my work helps you, make you think, changes your course in medicine or life, please consider to ‘buy me a coffee’ as a a lot of research and time goes into this blog and raising awareness.
I consider endometriosis and adenomyosis to be one and the ‘same’, and usually use endometriosis/endo to cover them both. Other than the endometriosis inferno as Ceccaroni calls it, I have a multitude of other labels (MCAS with ME/CFS, chronic urticaria , asthma, chronic migraine, hyperPOTS/vascular compressions). Collecting labels , which makes us feel embarrassed , just shows we do not understand a whole lot about the etiology and connectedness of female predominant disease.
